Manchester United have held talks with Chelsea striker’s representative over potential move

Manchester United are interested in signing Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson.

According to journalist Nizaar Kinsella, the Red Devils have held talks with the 24-year-old’s representative Ali Barat over a potential transfer this summer.

But a move for Jackson could depend on potential outgoings. Given Chelsea’s long-term interest in Alejandro Garnacho, a swap deal also remains a possibility.

The 24-year-old boasts great pace, agility and ability to run in behind defenses.

Since joining the Blues in 2023, he has scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists in 81 appearances across all competitions.

But Jackson’s future at Stamford Bridge has been thrown into doubt after the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap this summer.

Chelsea maintain they are in no rush to sell the Senegal international as they have set a huge £100m valuation

Jackson is a versatile forward who has proven himself in the Premier League, but United are unlikely to meet the West Londoners’ asking fee for him.

The Red Devils have been very active in the Premier League summer window. They signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a £62.5 million deal, while Bryan Mbeumo is expected to join soon from Brentford after completing his medical at Carrington.

United are now in the market for a striker following the struggles of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund in front of goal last season.

They have held talks with Jackson’s representative and could submit a bid to Chelsea over the coming weeks.
