According to Kaveh Solhekol, Chelsea are in touch with Malang Sarr. The U21 French defender is a free agent this summer as his contract with NIce ran out. Solhekol also mentions that if Chelsea signs Sarr, he’ll be loaned out.
Daily Mail reports that the London club are in talks to sign a five-year deal with Sarr. French Football News confirms that a final say is required and Sarr will be on his way to London for medicals.
Barcelona and Arsenal are keen on signing Sarr too. Sarr wants to join a club with a structured football project where he will get plenty amount of minutes. Arsenal and Barcelona certainly cannot promise enough game time as their defense has better options.
Chelsea are also closing in on signing Thiago Silva from PSG. The Blues are in a dire need of strong defenders and Sarr fits the project. However, the prospect of Sarr going out on loan might sway him away from Stamford Bridge project.
