Uncertainty is still the order of the day as far as the return of premier league is concerned. However, players have returned to training after weeks of negotiations between players and clubs, awaiting for the green light from the government.
Currently players have social distancing rules to adhere to when training. One such part of the rules is that they can’t work in groups of more than five. Another is that all sessions are only 75-minutes long. All apparatus, including balls are cleaned with disinfectant.

Rumours of a return to action continue to circulate. Referred to as ‘Project Restart’, the BBC reported last week that 12th of June is a possible start date. However, this will ultimately depend on government permission.
The traffic light system is in place to determine what level of lock down is required in England, and early signs have been positive that the country is heading away from the worst of the pandemic. But time will tell, and nothing is certain.
The Blues have not been in action since a 4-0 drubbing of Everton in early March. That followed a marvellous FA Cup victory against Liverpool only a few days earlier.
