Chelsea players make donations to help those affected by Coronavirus

Members of the Blues squad have made donations to the Chelsea foundation to help those affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

The Club’s official website have reported that sizable donations have been made with the money being shared amongst a number of charities.

One of which is to help the most vulnerable in the local community. Food parcels will be recieved by those in need.

The Chelsea foundation has also set up educational help for those at home following school closures.

Foundation staff have also been volunteering at food banks. Also reminiscence sessions involving foofball players talking about their memories at the club are also taking place to help the older generation.

Clib captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, spoke about the work being done. The Spaniard said:

“In these difficult times it is important we support those in need and together the players are proud to be able to do this through the Chelsea Foundation.”

Well done to all involved at Chelsea. This comes after Roman Abramovich set up the club’s hotel to be used by NHS staff free of charge. Stay safe, stay in, save lives.
