Jadon Sancho is one of the most wanted players in Europe at the moment. The youngster has been in tremendous form in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund.
Top clubs in England and Spain have been linked with the 20-year-old during the course of the season. The attacker has 17-goals, and 19-assists to his name, in just 35- appearances this campaign.
Despite the uncertainty on whether the season will finish, it hasn’t stopped speculation continuing about his long-term future.
Chelsea are hot on the heels of a move for Sancho, a move that has the full blessing of former Blues captain, John Terry. Talking to Frank Khalid’s YouTube channel (via The Metro) Terry was full of praise for the former Manchester City youth, he said:
“I think Sancho is probably one of the best young players in the world at the moment. So he’d be a great addition to Chelsea’s squad and obviously make us better as well.”
Terry did emphasise how impressed he is with the youngsters that have come through the ranks this season, by adding:
“We spoke at the start of the season about the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount coming into the squad and they’ve shown that they’re capable of playing.”
“The ones that have come through, Billy Gilmour, Tammy, Mason, Reece James – I mean, it’s endless isn’t it. There’s been so many positives this season come through.”
The Chelsea legend is particularly pleased with the mix of youth and experience that has thrived this season.
“I’ve been really impressed with the style of play, the capabilities of the younger players coming through and that mixed with the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta and them kind of players.”
Nobody knows what will happen, but it’s great to keep spirits high by dreaming of the future. Sancho would be an excellent signing, alongside the confirmed inclusion of Hakim Ziyech.
