Chelsea to make hotel available to NHS staff during Coronavirus crisis

Roman Abramovich has offered the hotel at Stamford Bridge to be used by NHS staff, the club have announced.

Many staff members face long hours, and long commutes home. The NHS have gladly accepted the offer with the hotels’ facilities being available to the health workers when needed.

Roman Abramovich will pick up the cost, making everything at hotel free of charge.

A club statement read:

‘The number of rooms utilised will depend on demand but potentially all the rooms in the Millennium Hotel could be given over for this purpose. No staff showing symptoms will use the hotel.’

‘Millennium Hotels and Resorts, who manage the hotel, are supportive and assisting the club in providing this service to the NHS.’

A truly wonderful idea from Roman and Chelsea football club. It’s great to see the club are doing their bit to help others. The NHS is stretched beyond belief, and was already in need of further funding prior to the Covid-19 outbreak.
