How Coronavirus is affecting Chelsea – Hudson-Odoi on the mend – Premier League postponed

Yesterday’s announcement that the Premier league would be postponed until 3rd April was expected by many. The virus is sweeping the world, infecting thousands, taking lives, and scaring many more.

Ahead of the premier league’s official announcement, it was already known on Thursday that Callum Hudson-Odoi had tested positive for Covid-19. The club’s training ground, Cobham was closed, and a keep-clean was undertaken.

Players and staff that had been been in contact with the Blues winger were advised to self-isolate as a precaution in case they had become infected themselves.

On Friday, Hudson-Odoi took to social media to put people’s minds at ease. Telling fans he was feeling better.

He received a number of get well messages from fans and fellow professionals.

Moving forward, it is realistically unknown if football will return this season. There’s no way of telling if or when the virus will be under control. More meetings will commence and further announcements are likely in the coming weeks. It’s possible the season will be considered null and void.
