‘World class’, ‘Unreal’, some Chelsea fans are delighted with 27-year-old’s display vs Watford

A section of the Chelsea supporters have heaped praise on midfielder Jorginho following the Blues’ 2-1 Premier League win over Watford on Saturday evening.

The Italian has combined splendidly alongside Mateo Kovacic in the centre of the park this term and his accuracy in terms of the distribution has been one of the main highlights of the campaign.

Against the Hornets, the Blues opened the scoring after just five minutes through Tammy Abraham and that came about from a wonderful defence splitting pass from Jorginho, who was nearly at the halfway line.

Christian Pulisic doubled the advantage for the Blues after the hour mark but the Blues still had to endure a nervous ending to the encounter after Gerard Deulofeu’s successful penalty in the 80th minute.

Jorginho did make contact with Deulofeu’s knee but the VAR’s decision to reward the spotkick still seemed harsh, considering the Spain international made further movement before dropping to the ground.

Irrespective of that, the Blues fans have lauded the efforts of Jorginho, who has been consistently registering high numbers in terms of the passing accuracy this season.

Twitter Reactions:

Jorginho picked up a booking during the closing stages of the encounter and that has ensured that he won’t be available for the Crystal Palace game next weekend, having reached the five-yellow card limit for a suspension.

Chelsea are currently third in the league standings with 23 points on the board but they could be leapfrogged by Leicester City on goal difference, should the Foxes register a win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
