‘Next Hazard’, ‘Baller’, some Chelsea fans praise attacker’s display vs Newcastle United

A selection of Chelsea fans have heaped praise on Callum Hudson-Odoi following his impressive performance in the 1-0 Premier League win over Newcastle United on Saturday.

The England international made his injury comeback for the Blues last month and he has since been in top form with a goal or an assist in every appearance for the west London giants.

Against the Magpies, Hudson-Odoi was clearly the best player on the field with his constant threat from the left side of the attack and he capped off the game with the assist for Marcos Alonso’s 73rd-minute winner.

The teenager has been a favourite among the Blues faithful since making his debut last season and a section of the supporters have already started comparisons with former star Eden Hazard.

Hudson-Odoi has been improving his performances with every game since his injury comeback and his display against Steve Bruce’s side earned him the club’s man of the match accolade.

The Blues have a crucial Champions League group stage clash against Ajax on the road on Wednesday night and Hudson-Odoi should be fancied to make his maiden Champions League start.

Frank Lampard’s side are presently third in the standings with three points on the board. They are behind second-placed Valencia on the head-to-head record after the defeat in the curtain-raiser.
