‘He is on fire’, some Chelsea fans are delighted with forward’s performance vs Wolves

A selection of Chelsea supporters have praised the performance of Tammy Abraham during the club’s convincing 5-2 Premier League triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road.

Abraham had been in fine run of form before the international break with successive braces against Norwich City and Sheffield United, and he has carried on the run against Wolves with his maiden club hat-trick.

With the result, he has become the youngest Blues player to score a Premier League treble and the supporters have reacted positively with a few finding similarities with club legend Didier Drogba.

Here are some of the reactions….

Abraham struggled at the beginning of the campaign and he could not find the net during the opening three games where he was the subject of criticism from a section of the Blues’ faithful.

However, manager Frank Lampard continued to keep his faith in Abraham and that has reaped rewards with seven goals from the past three appearances in the English top-flight.

Aside from Abraham, young graduates Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have stepped up with their performances for the west London side and the trio have shared all 11 goals scored in the league this season.

Tomori has recently been preferred ahead of the likes of Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma in central defence and he came up with a stunning long-range goal to open the scoresheet against Wolves on Saturday.

Chelsea’s immediate focus will shift to the Champions League opener against Valencia at home on Tuesday night. Thereafter, they have an exciting challenge against league leaders Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
