‘PL ain’t ready’, ‘What a sight’ – some Chelsea fans are delighted with injury return of emerging star

A section of the Chelsea supporters have expressed their delight after witnessing the return of defender Reece James return to full training ahead of the forthcoming congested schedule for the club.

The teenager suffered an ankle ligament injury while representing the England Under 20s during the Toulon tournament during the summer and that has kept him out of contention for a role under Frank Lampard.

However, ahead of the Wolves clash this weekend, the Blues have confirmed that the right-sided defender has returned to regular training and that has pleased some of the fans on Twitter.

Here are few of the reactions….

Blues captain Cesar Azpilicueta has witnessed a tough beginning to the current season and he has been guilty for a number of goals conceded by the club during the opening month of the campaign.

As such, James has been highlighted as a competitor to Azpilicueta with the view to cementing the right-back spot in the long-term but he may have to wait for his Blues debut after just reporting for first-team training.

As per Goal.com’s Nizaar Kinsella, James is unlikely to feature for the next two weeks at the least and he may make his Blues bow during the League Cup third round clash against Grimsby on September 25.

Chelsea are currently 11th on the league table with just five points attained from the opening four matches. They face a tricky challenge against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road this weekend.
