CHELSEA 1-1 Schalke: In a Nutshell


I did say in the match preview, I don’t like going into games with excessive confidence – and last night’s result is the reason why. Complacent Street is never a comfortable place to be and yet, after going a goal up, that’s exactly where Chelsea appeared to take a stroll. Couple that with a few missed chances, a striker we adore but who, realistically isn’t quite match fit and a bit of a defensive lapse and what we have Ladies and Gentlemen – is really not the end of the world.
So Schalke showed some spirit and caught us out on the break – not ideal but probably not a result that will affect us too badly in the long run. 1-1, and here’s the run-through in a nutshell:
