When he’s not taking the complete piss out of bitter gooners who reckon they’re up for having a go, Ashley Cole has found another use for his Twitter account it seems – putting a stop to ridiculous transfer stories in the press.
We’ve had a good laugh at the links to United and raised our eyebrows to the latest links to PSG but with the press speculation around us being held to ransom for a deal in excess of £200,000 a week, Cole has finally stepped in with a tweet to stop the nonsense.
Clearly it up on his personal Twitter account, Cole says “Contract talks have not stalled just started, and 200k are you for real, I’d never ask for that. Like I said before don’t listen or always believe what media say they aint got a clue”.
Oh, and Ancelotti confirms “Our transfer window is over, and Ashley Cole will not come.” So I guess we’ll just wait for Fergie’s tweets now?
