Amazing really, some people can apparently tweet whatever they like on Twitter, Ashley Cole needs only to defend himself and its headline worthy.
The Chelsea left-back was bombarded by gutless gooners the minute he opened a Twitter account, and just as anyone with a bit of backbone would, he gave as good as he got. Nothing insulting, nothing personal or derogatory – even if half of them probably asked for it anyway – he simply shut them up. Mind you, it’s not exactly hard to do that to a gooner.
Whilst it was reported that Cole ‘was quick to taunt his former employers’, the truth is, this was banter with foul mouthed supporters of his former employers and all he did was tweet the facts – with a photo of him in the dressing room in Munich, accompanied by the words “I am what I am!!! Winnerrr!!!! Hahahahahahah, 11 to me 0 for you!!!” to denote their lack of silverware in comparison to ours since he joined us. This weekend, when goaded yet again, he tweeted “Arsenal fans get over it, I left I won #ihaveastaronmyshirtnow.”
Hardly earth shattering news to them, so I don’t see the big deal. If they can’t take the banter back, these keyboard warriors shouldn’t bother trying to dish it out.
