So, after the signing of Eden Hazard, comes the signing of Thorgan Hazard, with Chelsea bringing in both of them in the same transfer window.
Much more discreetly than the Twitter announcement of Eden’s arrival though, the club confirmed Thorgan’s signing on the official site, saying “He will now join our Under-21 squad, managed by Dermot Drummy, to continue his pre-season training and a loan move is being considered to continue his development.” So clearly, although the 19 year old is thought to have a similar playing style to his brother, he isn’t felt to be at the same sort of level yet.
So we’ll see him when he’s ready I guess but for now – welcome to Chelsea Thorgan.
