Last night saw Chelsea’s Player Of The Year awards, where the lads were no doubt treated to a beer or two after a long, draining season. Ok, so they’ve still got the minor matter of a Champions League trophy to play for next weekend but here’s the awards from last night:
YOUNG PLAYER of the YEAR: went to Lucas Piazon

“I am very happy and I didn’t expect this. It has been a fantastic week for me. David Luiz and Ramires have helped me a lot here as when I came in I was alone.’I hope to be at Chelsea a long time and I will keep working.”
GOAL OF THE SEASON: Went, of course to Ramires for that goal against Barcelona
PLAYERS’ PLAYER of the SEASON: Also went to Ramires

“It is really special to receive this in my second year here and I hope to win it again.”
PLAYER of the SEASON: Went to Juan Mata

“I just have to say thank you. It is my first season here so it is even more special for me and I want to say thank you to my team-mates and the staff and all the people who voted for me. I am realising what it means to play for Chelsea. I didn’t expect it but I have had the opportunity to play a lot of games and enjoy English football. It has been an amazing season as we won the FA Cup in my first year and we have the chance to win the Champions League. It is history for this club and I will never forget this season.”
SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD: Bobby Tambling

collected by Bobby's missus
“Thank you so much for this award, I don’t think any of you really know how much it means to me, particularly at this time. I was so lucky to be part of a wonderful team and without them I wouldn’t be accepting this prestigious award. I want to thank the legion of fans who supported me and the team through the years and have been wonderful again in their support during my illness. I want to congratulate today’s team on their fantastic win on Saturday and wish them all the best in the Champions League final. I will be dancing, bad leg and all, when they win.”
