Obviously the minute Chelsea hinted they might be prepared to let Josh McEachran go on loan in the January window there would be plenty of interest in the talented midfielder and one of those chomping at the bit to take him are Aston Villa.
As brilliant as he is, McEachran has only featured in one Premier League game this season, so maybe a loan move isn’t such a bad idea. Villa boss Alex McLeish is certainly hinting he fancies taking advantage of a move for the 18 year old, saying “He (McEachran) is one of their hottest prospects. I think they are thinking about loaning him, yes. At the start of the season they weren’t, but the word is they are thinking about it. But I don’t want to say yes about anything because I am juggling a few balls.”
Bolton, Norwich and Wolves are also touted as interested clubs although maybe given the form Sturridge came back to us in, the Trotters wouldn’t be the worst of those.
