Mancini Doesn’t Want To Hear About Ch5….Apparently

Is it obligatory for someone to have a pop at us whenever we win now? I mean, obviously Mancini was going to be sulking after City lost but he’s taking the ‘bitter’ role a bit literally isn’t he?

Having skulked off Monday night, Mancini tried to imply Ashley Cole upset someone in the tunnel.  Obviously the fact that one of his own players had been throwing slaps about on the pitch slipped his mind because he bitches “They were really lively after this game because they have beaten a top team and it is very important for them.  I don’t know if Cole said something, I don’t know what he said. I don’t understand. But I think if the Chelsea players are saying we are a top team then this is a compliment.”

Shame his attempt at sarcasm highlights how precious he is – one defeat in the league and he’s talking like his lot would never celebrate a win – but we’ll forgive his fragile ego considering he’d just sat and watched his ‘would-be champions’ bottle it.

The slightly more to the point Andre Villas-Boas dismissed the whinge, saying “It is untrue, it is unfair.  There is always some troublemaker in our wins.” Mind you, considering The Mirror are suggest Cole was actually singing “Thursday nights, Channel 5” in the tunnel, I sincerely hope it is true.

Blue is the colour

TheChelseaBlog.org is an honest insight to the World of Chelsea FC. Not always pretty, sometimes rather cynical, but always realistic.
