Seriously, what are the press going on about now? I know it seems to be par for the course every transfer window but Robinho and Pato again? Can they not come up with something a bit more original to write about, like AVB insists the players all part their hair on the same side now or something?
Yes, we’ve still got a stockpile of shirts in a cupboard somewhere with Robinho’s name on but I think his move to City and everything else that went on afterwards put paid to any interest we could or should have had in signing him.
He might have been a bit more consistent at Milan but struggles to get in the first team now, with just 3 goals in 13 games. Do the press honestly think that’s the sort of player we’d be going after right now?
And as for Pato, we’ve been linked with him since he was about 6 years old – it really is all a bit predictable and tiresome now.
