From One Chelsea Fan: A Plea

We all take our football pretty seriously most of the time.  If we lose a game, half of us think it’s the end of the world – I know I can sulk for days.  Every now and again though, you hear about something that really makes you get life in perspective.  Because of that, today, TheChelseaBlog would appreciate it’s visitors having a read of one Chelsea supporter’s request:

On 14th June 2011, my 15 year old son Dean suffered a spinal stroke that has left him paralysed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair. Dean has been amazing since the injury, showing courage, strength and will far beyond his years and has an extremely positive outlook on the rest of his life, showing such determination to get the best out of his life.

To help him achieve this a trust fund has been set up in his name, and we’ll be doing many fund raising events including walks, football matches, golf days, discos and auctions etc. We are asking many people and organisations for any donations of items to auction. If you would like to get in touch with an offer of support, you can do so via the contact us form on www.deanstrust.com or email me direct at andysymmons@sky.com.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Blue is the colour

TheChelseaBlog.org is an honest insight to the World of Chelsea FC. Not always pretty, sometimes rather cynical, but always realistic.
