AVB Plan Works For Lampard

He’s had a fair bit of stick has our Frankie, but the boss is certainly impressed with him at the minute.  The Chelsea boss, not afraid to make the big decisions when they need to be made, has already dropped Lampard following some poor form earlier this season but our midfielder seems to have responded to that in exactly the way AVB had intended.

After his headed winner against Blackburn at the weekend, the Chelsea boss said “It was a good goal by Frank and he has found his timing to arrive in the box like the old days. He is scoring a lot this season and the cross from (Branislav) Ivanovic was inch-perfect.”

Lampard meanwhile, confirming his time out did him more good than harm, says “I’m very pleased we got the three points, albeit not at our best. We had to address the manner we lost the Arsenal game.  Being out of the team spurred me on. The minute you’re taken out of the team people talk. I’ve trained hard and I’ve won my place back in the team.”

Blue is the colour

TheChelseaBlog.org is an honest insight to the World of Chelsea FC. Not always pretty, sometimes rather cynical, but always realistic.
