Pre-season Chelsea Chat: Liverpool

To kick off the new 2011/12 season, get a Sky Sports HD package and enjoy the action in stunning HD TV.

Next up to give us his pre-season thoughts is Antoine from Liverpool’s Empire of the Kop. This’ll be fun eh?

TheChelseaBlog: So, a new season awaits – what are you hoping to get from it, is it your year?

EmpireoftheKop: At least top 4, we should make top 4.

TCB: Erm…ok but what do you realistically expect?

EOTK: If you look at the last half of last season and what Kenny did since he came on board I believe that Top 4 is in the bag.

TCB: So given you couldn’t achieve that last season, you must think the transfer window has been kind to you?

EOTK: Yes so far I believe there might be 1 or 2 signings before the window closes. I would really like for us to offload some of the dead-weight too.

TCB: Is there anyone you’d give your right arm to bring in?

EOTK: Messi? LOL

TCB: Who are your most important players?

EOTK: Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Pepe Reina

TCB: What about opposition players? Which PL player worries you most?

EOTK: Sergio Aguero, he just signed with Manchester City.

TCB: Obviously the sun really does shine out of Dalglish’s rear end but how do you think he stands up against the rest?

EOTK: He is the King 🙂 No one knows more about football than Kenny Dalglish, he has proved it time and again both as a player and as a manager. We fell off our perch after Kenny resigned following the stress he suffered having to attend all those funerals of the Hillsborough victims.

TCB: And your supporters – can they give the opposition a run for their money?

EOTK: Of course always we can out-sing them all 🙂

TCB: Where do you think you’ll finish this season?

EOTK: 3rd

TCB: Actually, I’d heard 3rd spot was ours but fair enough. Any predictions for the top four then?

EOTK:

Chelsea
Man Utd

Liverpool
Man City

TCB: …..right you are then Antoine, cheers.
