Chelsea Transfer Rumours: Who’s In, Who’s Out?

Right, one game to go but aside from what’s going to happen to Carlo Ancelotti, everything else is already decided this season, so there’s nothing else for it except to look at transfer rumours for the next couple of months.

First up today then is Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin – not the first time we’ve been linked with him because he was linked with just about everyone (except Spurs) before joining Arsenal in 2009 and after a trophyless season for both clubs, rumour has it Wenger’s ready to let him go and Abramovich is ready to pay the £15 million required.

Anderlecht’s Romelu Lukaku, on the other hand, doesn’t look like he’ll be leaving them for Chelsea, or any other club for that matter, because despite rumours to the contrary, the £18 million rated man insists “I hope we will make some big transfers. I still have a contract until 2015. I can still learn a lot at Anderlecht. I do not have an agreement with any other club whatsoever.”

Potentially outward bound this summer according to reports, is Yuri Zhirkov. No surprise really since the Russian barely gets a look in for our first team and rumour has it he could go to Spartak Moscow for around £12million.

AC Milan meanwhile, are rumoured to fancy taking Michael Essien off our hands. How keen on selling him Chelsea would be remains to be seen because in spite of his poorest season for us yet, the Ghanaian has seemed just about untouchable when it comes to a starting place.

And we haven’t even started on the Drogba rumours yet…
