Ancelotti, Hiddink Or Mourinho? Take Your Pick

Chelsea go out of a competition, so the ‘manager sacking’ rumours are in full flow already. Predictable and as tedious as they are most seasons but since it’s inevitable we’ll be hearing them from now until the end of the season, let’s have a look at the earliest offerings:

The Guardian go with the standard ‘Carlo set to leave at end of season’

CaughtOffside reckon the Chelsea boss will be part of a bigger clear out

Hoddle can’t see any sense in sacking Carlo according to Teamtalk

Goal.com tell us he could go to Roma

VitalChelsea bring us the Hiddink and Mourinho rumours

So, will he go? Will he stay with Hiddink for company? Or will he cut his losses and head back to Italy?

Personally, unless Hiddink did choose to make a surprise return, with very little choice out there in terms of ‘better’ managers right now, I see no point in the club getting rid of yet another manager the minute we have a trophy-less season. It would serve very little purpose, other than giving the press something else to write about and we could do without that circus following us again.

Ancelotti hasn’t done a bad job in the circumstances, PR-wise he’s been one of the best managers we’ve ever had and maybe it’s his right-hand man the club should be looking at?
