Chelsea Preparing For Bidding War With United?

Well, with Neymar changing his mind like the weather around a move to the Premier League, it seems the press are having a bit more luck putting us up against Manchester United over a move for Palermo’s Javier Pastore.
The Argentina international is being touted for a ‘substantial fee’ by the club’s president Maurizio Zamparini, with United alleged to have had talks with Pastore’s representatives earlier this month and Chelsea now rumoured to have confirmed ‘serious interest.’
Zamparini is already preparing for the 21 year old’s departure, confirming “Until the end of season he will play for Palermo. Despite my interest for the club and player, I am already looking for his replacement. I feel it will be difficult for an Italian club to buy him. His price is already high at £60 million – he will move abroad.”
With Barcelona and Real Madrid also interested, Pastore himself doesn’t seem to have a preference, accepting he will simply go to the highest bidder, saying “The president (Maurizio Zamparini) admires me and he likes me a lot. He does his job and wants to sell me at the best possible price.”
Who Palermo end up getting their £60 million off though, we’ll just have to wait and see.
