Will Didier Put Up A Fight?

new-sulk

So, Didier Drogba took his place on the bench Tuesday night and Ancelotti doesn’t think the Ivorian had a problem with it?

After the game, Ancelotti declared “I think we have the best strikers in Europe. They are fantastic players, and I have an opportunity to choose the right players for each game. Didier had played for 120 minutes on Saturday and we want to maintain their fitness, but rotation could do them good with the Premier League and the Champions League to come. They are accepting my decisions without problems, and this is important. There was no problem with Drogba, he was focused with the other players.”

If that’s the case then, why did it look like Didier was sulking before the game? Whilst everyone else joined together in a much needed warm up in the freezing temperatures, our unhappy striker chose not to participate. Focused with the other players? I hardly think so. He had the hump and that was just as evident when he came on for the last 17 minutes.

So I guess the question is what happens now? Does Carlo give in to the stroppy Ivorian, stick with a clearly more motivated Nicolas Anelka or will Didier decide he won’t sit it out without a fight?

I know which one my money’s on, what about you?
