The season hasn’t even kicked off and there’s injury news already!
It seems Petr Cech is our first casualty of the new season having picked up a calf injury in training. Not only that, but it’s the same muscle he tore against Inter in the Champions League in February and the suggestion is he could now miss our opening game against West Brom.
Reports so far point to the Chelsea keeper missing the next three weeks, so he’ll probably be out of the Community Shield game against United and very possibly our first Premier League game of the 2010/11 season.
Is it just me, or has he needed to be wrapped in cotton wool since his head injury?
