Just because Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear he has no plans to sign anyone during this transfer window, the press don’t appear to be letting that stop them. Last week it was Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini for £22million and this week, it’s Edin Dzeko. Mind you, it doesn’t help when you have agents like Dzeko’s egging the press on with comments like “Attention must be paid to Chelsea because the Blues are following Dzeko.” Where are we following him exactly?
Bearing in mind we’re not planning to spend any money on new players, we seem to be doing quite a bit of this watching other players lark, because according to Marouane Fellaini’s father and agent, we’re ‘keeping tabs’ on the Everton midfielder as well. Pretty busy for a club with no plans to delve into the transfer market really but then again, seeing as Fellaini has a contract that’ll keep him with the Toffee’s for three seasons and we might not be signing anyone for about that long, we could just be planning ahead eh?! 🙂
