Chelsea Injuries Update

Given our track record over the last couple of seasons, it looked as if ACON would be our main concern this season because we hadn’t been doing too badly on the injury front. Unfortunately, that’s not the case though.

We heard earlier this week that Ashley Cole had suffered a depressed fracture in his leg and won’t be back until the Arsenal game at the end of the month at the earliest.  As for the other side of the pitch, Chelsea confirmed yesterday Jose Bosingwa – who’d been out with a knee injury since mid-October – has undergone surgery that looks like keeping him out for the next three months.

On top of that, we’re told that having tussled with Johny Evans’ boot at the weekend, Didier Drogba has pulled out of Ivory Coast’s squad with severe bruising to his ribs – thankfully, he should be back in time for our next game.

Blue is the colour

TheChelseaBlog.org is an honest insight to the World of Chelsea FC. Not always pretty, sometimes rather cynical, but always realistic.
