What’s Essien’s agent playing at?
Fabien Piveteau has come out and said “Some clubs are interested in Michael. He likes Chelsea very much, but football is football and if Real Madrid, Barcelona or some other club make an offer he needs to sit down and discuss what is best for him.” And yet Essien wouldn’t even be in a position to sit down and talk to anyone else. Fortunately, our Ghanaian midfielder signed a new deal a year ago, keeping him at the club til 2013 so he won’t be going anywhere for a while.
Obviously Piveteau is trying it on but the fact is, Essien’s far too important to Chelsea for it to matter who’s interested in him.
