Will Drogba Be ‘Fighting’ Fit?

Didier Drogba missed our 2-0 win over Newcastle at the weekend although to be fair, it was Newcastle, so it wasn’t such a big deal. Tomorrow night though, we face Liverpool yet again and without a doubt we’d rather have him than not for that game. He might be a pain in the arse and his performances may have been questionable for far too large a part of this season but he’s definitely looked a lot more like his old self since Guus Hiddink turned up.

So, will he or won’t he make it back for our Champions League tie at Anfield?

Well obviously the dippers would be a lot happier if he was still out and certainly there’s been the odd report to get their hopes up, suggesting the Ivorian is battling to make it. However, he seems to have made a good job of recovering over the weekend and made it through a full training session, with the official website suggesting “Didier Drogba has just completed a full training session and is looking good”.

So hopefully he’ll be wanting to get out there tomorrow and want to right any previous wrongs?
