Former Chelsea Man Writing Us Off?

Former Chelsea man Tony Cascarino seems to have plenty to say about us this week and none of it good.

Unsurprisingly, his opinion of Didier Drogba is pretty low, with him suggesting “The underlying problem within the camp now seems to be the behaviour of Drogba.  To be honest the Chelsea players have had enough of his behind-the-scenes antics. I’m sure the manager would like to get rid of him but the club still wants to get good money.”

Whilst on the subject of money, Cascarino says “Chelsea don’t seem willing to spend so it’s highly unlikely they’ll challenge Manchester United all the way for the title as they seem more likely to sell than to invest. Is this a sign that Roman Abramovich has lost interest?  He has lost a lot of money due to the fall in the economy so perhaps he has other priorities. We simply don’t see or hear about him any more which is a worrying sign for the club.”

And finally, another worrying sign for Cascarino is the new Chelsea boss, with him saying “I’ve not been convinced by Scolari this season as he’s been found out on a number of occasions tactically. This is perfectly illustrated by the fact that apart from against Stoke they’ve rarely come back from falling behind.”

Unfortunately, as much as I’d love to say I disagree with the former Chelsea striker – the worry for me is that I can’t!
