Robinho To Chelsea Today?

It’s been a long old summer as far as a certain player is concerned but reports suggest Robinho will finally be getting the move both he and Chelsea have been looking for, within the next 24 hours.

Scolari had suggested after Sunday’s game at Wigan that as soon as he was back in the office Monday, he’d be looking at who’s coming and going, and it looks as if he clearly meant it. Shevchenko’s finalised his move back to the San Siro, rumour has it Shaun Wright-Phillips has been put up for grabs and the one player who can cover either of those positions is allegedly on his way for anywhere between £25.5million to £28.6million – one paper’s guess is as good as another.

According to reports, the Brazilian was put on stand-by by Real Madrid last night, to fly to London with his agent today to complete a medical. Despite the club’s recent claims that the playmaker would not be permitted to leave following their failure to capture Ronaldo, it appears they’ve found yet another replacement in Spanish international Santi Carzola – making Robinho slightly less important to them yet again.

Chelsea are reported to be pretty optimistic a deal can be finalised within the next 48 hours so they can get the 24 year old’s name down on the team sheet for the game against Spurs on Sunday.
