Just when we thought the whole Robinho thing had been put to bed, with the player’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, suggesting Real Madrid’s refusal to enter negotiations meant “the dream of Chelsea is broken”, it appears it might not be quite over yet.
In the shadow of rumours that Andriy Shevchenko’s departure on a year-long loan to AC Milan (funded by Chelsea naturally) has been arranged in order to free up some space in the dressing room, reports suggest negotiations for the Brazilian playmaker are back on.
Apparently, Peter Kenyon, ever the trier, arrived in Madrid last night in order to tie up an improved deal for Robinho, having already seen one declined.
So, yet again, watch this space……
